ISA......looking at the positive side of it

The dramatic event of 3 ISA detainees, of whom 2 had been released just within a week, with 1 remain incarcerated together with the 60 over rest, led most Malaysians (including me) to into a state of strife and confusion.

I can't help but will log on to the Msia Kini website to keep following the first hand breaking news whenever I had the time to go online, everywhere! No doubt, ISA is no longer relevant to be warranted in today's civic society. Most of the time we are more than certain that this kind of draconian action is used by some revengeful ruling politicians to tame their political opponent. Common sense tells us that.

Looking at the positive side of these series of events, I must conclude that I did learn something meaningful and inspiring too, which is the courage to uphold one's principle and belief even though it does not favour your own political stand. I was rather amazed, and I must say that I really salute this Law Minister of ours, Datuk Zaid Ibrahim for his audacity and braveness of upholding his own belief and stand despite being caught in a complicated political situation. How many people can actually give up their own prestige and status (not to mention money and many other material rewards) in pursuing their own belief? How many people are willing to do so? How many people can really let go? No matter what is the agenda behind, he is certainly one of the few who had uplifted the spirit of many disappointed Malaysians, who emobodied the virtue of a true hero.

Zaid is fast becoming the national hero. I admire his audacity and principle in the face of adversity. Despite his apparent failure in making changes, I am sure his attitude has struck a chord in all Malaysians and lifted our spirit.

I think it takes more than just guts to do what Zaid did. And at such a critical timing too. Anyway, call me a pessimist but I am still quite doubtful in all 'heroic' acts by politicians. They always hv their own agenda behind, don't they? But to be fair to Zaid (he should be given the benefit of doubt until proven otherwise anyway), I will say 'bravo'. Finally seeing a sensible guy among the Umno weirdos and idiots. I don't know if Anwar is a better leader, since he is one of the most racist man on earth during his Umno years... But guess when given only a choice between him and the current, I would vote one for him cos our country is really desperate for a change. Even the slightest means a chance to see a difference, yes? Haha.
